Date: 2009-08-19 12:05 am (UTC)See last year I was gonna go see DT in Hamlet and all with some friends and it'd be my first time ever in U.K (I've wanted to go since I was a kid. I watched a lot of BBC Prime and bought British teen mags and etc, okay?) and we had bought the tickets (for play & plane) and everything was pretty much planned and I had bought currency at a stupid price and everything...
and then the same weekend our economy kinda collapsed and the u.k government used anti-terrorist laws on our last remaining upstanding bank. Oh teh joy.
So we had to cancel. :( *Pouts* I got most of my money back, but I wanted to see DT damn it!
But maybe things will hopefully be better next year and hopefully maybe if it all happened I could just go and see Adam instead. Hehe. XD Because I'd totally go to the U.K to see him. it'd be like 2-in-1. Get to go to U.K finally AND see Adam. XD
Mhhm. That would be mah dream. lol.
Plus I plan on trying to go to Denmark on my own in Nov this year (yes, 24 and never been overseas by myself. meep.) so if I can do that, I could do the U.K thing next year and hopefully many more to come. lol.
We'd totally have to meet and stuff though. And like fangirl over these things. *Nods*
DUDE. EPIC. I'm sure it'll be brilliant. I think last year was like made of so much win. Heh. Maybe a little more somber this year cuz of CoE. XD

But OMG, The Guild is also just the funniest thing ever. I'm currently watching ses. 2. XD The vid is like a promo thingy for ses. 3 that starts soon. :D It's a online sitcom thingy.

Also oooh, you know that when Dr. Horrible came out that the people behind The IT Crowd posted on some Dr. Horrible fan forum about how to contact them so they could get something related to Horrible that they could like include in their next ses or something. XD
People were like that's sooo cool. And then someone gave them someone's contact e-mail or something and I think they like had a poster or something in one of their eps. lol. XD But I've yet to see that series, I think. I only saw like a screencap. XD
But anyways Felicia Day was in Buffy (the last ses. as the Potential slayer Vi), Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog (as Penny, who Dr. Horrible (NPH) has a crush on & dates Captain Hammer (Nathan Fillion)) and then as Mag on the unaired last ep. of ses. 1 Dollhouse.
Plus she has her own thing, like I said which is called The Guild. Which Joss says was one of the things that inspired him to make Dr. Horrible. :D
So pretty much Felicia like wins the internet because she's all geeky and dorky and stuff but is also like really pretty and awesome and stuff. And I could prolly fangirl her allll night. XD But I won't because heh.
Yes, I might have OD'd a bit on her stuff tonight. XD

Yeah. I totally love the U.K and have wanted to go there since like forever, and I'm not even kidding when I say forever. Since I was a kid. lol. XD People think I'm weird because I like listening to BBC World Service. Rofl. Okay, that's also because I'm a news junkie (had to cut back through because it was just making me depressed) but heh.
Uhuh. I know, you can't have that and NOT at least try and go! I will try my hardest, damn it. lol. XD
UHUH! I sooooo lovvveee meeting other fangirls because you can talk about stuff and don't have to like explain stuff and just be like yourself. Rofl. Because I kinda fail at the normal Icelandic chit-chat.
I couldn't stand Icelandic teenagers when I was one, so i can't stand them now or well, sometimes people my ages because they are soooo... Icelandic. Not that I don't love my country and all, but my head has always been over seas. Rofl.
Bugs my mom, and baffles other people. Makes people think I'm not Icelandic. lmao.
Well, The Guild is like about this girl who plays this MMO (I'm not much of a video game player so all I know is second-or third-hand info. lol. My fav online comic is really for gamers and stuff, but I still find it hilarious. ) and she like plays with these people in a group or whatever.
Anyways then in the first ep. she's like trying to become more social and "normal" also you find out one of the players has been missing for a few days. Then he turns up at her house and stuff. XD
And just it's just this really awesome web thingy. I don't think you have to be a gamer to really enjoy it, but it might make it funnier. lol. It's usually like under 9 minutes each ep and each ses so far has had like 12 to 13 eps. :D

It's just like sooooo made of win. it really needs to be watched to be understood why it's so awesome because I lack the vocabulary to explain it's awesome-ness.

Anyways Dollhouse is awesome too. :D *Hugs her DVD's* The first few ep's are kinda meh, but it really & truly does get better and seriously the unaired (in the U.S, aired in the U.K and such) 13th (kinda 14th) episode is just WOW. Especially the end and oh dear gods, Amy Acker. Just when you think you can't love that woman anymore she does that and just gah.
Also it's so awesome that Dollhouse and Dr. Horrible is like almost a family thing. Because Maurissa is one of the writers on both (plus she's in the guild music vid and in Dr. Horrible) and she just got married to Joss's brother. lol. Who also worked/works on both. Heh.
The funny thing I think is that all the shows I watch? Like non-reality ones? I can connect 'em all back to the Whedonverse by an actor, producer or writer or many of them. That's why they are all awesome. ;)
Which is why I love my main fandom, because it connects like almost all my other fandoms. \o/
Plus, RTD said that he kinda looked towards Joss and Buffy when he brought back DW and such. RTD has a lot to learn, but he couldn't look towards an more awesome purple man. lol. off course, it's also awesome because he has a knack for surrounding himself with just fucking talented people.
